Before heading off for break, our students showed the true spirit of giving! 🧡 McDanield Preschoolers delivered over 240 food items to Vaughn-Trent Community Services, and students across the district came together to prepare Thanksgiving meal kits for Feed His Lambs. We’re so proud of their generosity. THANK YOU to our staff and families for supporting the various food drives during the holiday season, helping us make a big impact in our community!

To wrap up our Feed His Lambs community service project, the EDW Braves LEAD team worked together to make 26 pumpkin pies to go along with all of the canned food items that were donated. A big thanks to Lauralee Fisher and the cafeteria crew for making this possible. Our kids learned all about food safety and teamwork in the kitchen!

The EDW Braves LEAD team spent the morning yesterday bagging up all of the donations from the Feed His Lambs Food Drive. These bags will be delivered to families in the Bonner Springs/Edwardsville community to help them with their Thanksgiving meals. Thank you to our entire EDW family for coming together to make this happen!

We were so impressed with how engaged and enthusiastic our 4th graders were during their field trip to JaBizTown! The students had such a great time learning and exploring, and we’re excited to share a few more photos from their fun-filled day. Enjoy!

REMINDER: There will be no school for all students Wednesday, October 16th - Friday, October 18th for Parent-Teacher Conferences and staff professional development. We will begin the second quarter when all students return on Monday, October 21st!

Our 4th graders are excited to be at JA BizTown today! This unique field trip provides an engaging, hands-on experience where students step into the roles of business leaders, consumers, and citizens. They’ll learn valuable lessons about financial literacy, teamwork, and responsibility while running their own mini-economy. It’s a fun way to bring classroom learning to life and empower students with real-world skills!

Our kindergarten class had a wonderful field trip to Weston Red Barn Farm! The students enjoyed a day of hands-on learning and fun, exploring the pumpkin patch and meeting farm animals. It was a great opportunity to experience farm life and enjoy the outdoors. Thank you to all the parent chaperones for helping make this trip so special!

Our Edwardsville Elementary 3rd graders have been diving into hands-on learning! They explored force and motion by experimenting with different objects and materials. Then, as part of their mapping unit, they went on an adventurous playground scavenger hunt, using compasses and clues to discover hidden treasures! #204BravesPride
